Saturday’s post, which featured a picture of the Black Panther actor and a message announcing his death, has passed seven million ‘likes’ and counting, beating the previous record of 4.3m for a Barack Obama tweet in 2017.

#Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2016 but didn’t make the news public. Despite surgery and chemotherapy, he made several films in the four years before his death, most notably his role as King T’Challa, aka #BlackPanther, in the #Marvel Cinematic Universe. #Wakanda
