GOVERNOR YAHAYA BELLO OF KOGI STATE AT IT AGAIN...

          The Supreme Court, on Monday, in Abuja upheld the election of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State putting an end to all the litigation against his election on November 16, 2019. The seven man panel of the Supreme Court Justices, in a unanimous judgement, said the November governorship election that took place in the State was substantially compliant with the provisions of the electoral act.  The apex court dismissed the appeal by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Musa Wada, who challenged the outcome of the gubernatorial election  that held in the state last year.  Though the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Ibrahim Tanko, led the seven-man panel that heard the case of the appellants, the lead judgement was however prepared by Justice Inyang Okoro and read by Justice Uwani Abba-Aji.  The apex court said it was satisfied that the the Court of Appeal neither denied the Appellants fair hearing, nor wrongl...

Free Free Free...The Chinese are building the University for free in Daura, Katsina State.

                                 The Chinese Company handling the Transport University 'CCECC' said they are building the University for free and same attention given to the rail transport development will be given to it. This according to the honourable Minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaech... The minister says the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) has already started working at the site . According to him, the project is worth $50 million. Speaking during his visit to the site on Saturday, August 30, 2020, Amaechi said the Katsina state government has given the construction company an approval to commence building. The minister also said the project will include the construction of a primary and a secondary school within the university, adding that the project will be completed in September 2021.   A professor of political economy and management expert, Pat Utomi, has faulted the system of governance in Nigeria. Despite being a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Utomi believes the present administration is finding it difficult to connect to the solutions to the problems of the country. “I think that the government is crippled; it is not connecting to the solution,” he said during his appearance on  Channels Television’s Sunday Politics . The economist added, “If there is anything absent in Nigeria, it is leadership.
